Diana Aminova is a film, commercial and music video director.
Originally Diana has a music education. She graduated Violin at The Gnesins Russian Academy of Music in Moscow. After her graduation, Diana moved to Vienna where she continued her studies at the Conservatory of Music and Performing Arts of Vienna.
Her debut short film Der Künstler muß hungry sein, which she directed in the Spring of 2016, has been included in the official selection and premiered in historical Urania Kino at Austrian Film Festival “Video&Filmtage”.
In the Fall of 2016, she was accepted into SAE Institute’s Digital Film Production. A year after, Diana was invited as a filmmaker in one of the biggest startup in Europe Music Traveler.
In her time there, she has collaborated with some of the world's most acclaimed musicians, composers and actors such as Aleksey Igudesman, Igudesman & Joo, Yuja Wang, Hyung-ki Joo,
Matthias Bartolomey, Adam Lukas, Lucy Landymore, Manaho Shimokawa, Nicolas Altstädt, Academy Award-winning film composer Hans Zimmer and John Malkovich.
Diana became a finalist with her 60 seconds short film “Moscow in Motion” in the official selection of ROSKINO for the inclusion in the annual almanac Global Russians. The project presentation took place in the Russian Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival and Film Market in May 2018.
In October 2018 Diana was working on the set with Oscar winner Director of Photography Linus Sandgren (La La Land, Joy, First Man, American Hustle) for a new Mercedes-Benz GLE commercial “In the Long Run”.
In 2018 her second short film The Girl with a Balloon was nominated for the Best Short Film at the CortoDino International Short Film Festival Dino De Laurentiis.
Collaborated with such brands as VIENNA ART WEEK, LUSIO, MUSIC TRAVELER, SPY MOSCOW, KYIV INTERNATIONAL
PIANO COMPETITION, HOLLYWOOD IN VIENNA, CommentMe and others.
